Vienna Music Institute is offering a preparation clinic for cellists auditioning for Irvine Honor Orchestra, All-Southern and All-State Orchestras, run by cellist Joyce Long (VMI faculty).
Any young cellists who are interested in auditioning for Honors orchestra, All-State and All-Southern orchestras are welcome to join the free preparation clinic at Vienna School of Music.
The preparation clinic will be focusing on any cello techniques included in the audition excerpts, musicianship, tips for self-practice, fun cello activities and how to overcome stage fright. Cellists who are not auditioning for these orchestras are welcome to join as well, because these cello tips are still good reference to have. The teacher will give demonstrations.
